This modern IYHF hostel is situated right in the middle of the famous Vondelpark, within walking distance of the Van Gogh- and the Rijksmuseum and at crawling distance from the Leidseplein.

The hostel is partly located in a monumental chalet building from which you have a stunning view over the park. Here you will also find our Brasserie 'Bite&Drink' , a cool place for a cool drink or a hot meal! Other facilities include: 536 beds divided over 2, 4, 6-8 bedded rooms and some large dormitories. All rooms have shower, toilet and washbasin. Three rooms with wheelchair access, high speed internet facilities, a laundrette, bike shelter, pool table, tourist info and discount tickets, electronic doorlocks, lockers and safes, no curfew.
For the lockers in the room you can bring your own padlock or buy one at the reception.
Bedsheets are included, towels are not included. You can buy a towel at reception.
Hostelling International members receive a discount of euro 2,50 per night. Check in starts at 7.30 AM, rooms are available from 2 PM (you can store your luggage in a locker).
**Please note that any group bookings of 9 people or more must be made directly with the hostel.

Mass of families with small children.
Most critical point was the room light. As there are absolutely NO CURTAINS for each bed, you clearly see every ray of light when someone puts on the main lights in the room. There is absolutely no privacy in that hostel, while in your bed, you are visible 100% to others. The issue with the light made me wake up every night because someone was coming home.

coyo from Mexico stayed here on 12th February 2010 The sewer sys in the shower is very slow, so after 5 people you end up with a pool for yourself(gross) even if you tell em, they shake their head without a word so I dunno, when the restaurant was finally open after a few days on a really cold nite, we went in to order some food and since it was 8:40 and they close at 9 the bartender very rudely recomended a five minute walk somewhere else to a \"better\" place. will never go back !!!! | Male

El segundo dia que estuve ahi (de un total de 5) las luces de un toilette dejaron de funcionar, por lo que solamente quedaban dos toilettes para todo un piso. El desayuno es bueno. Las computadoras son inutiles. Y en las habitaciones los espacios entre cama y cama son estrechos, se complica para abrir los lockerrs o las valijas. | Female

Extremely safe, clean, the rooms are great, the staff are ready to help. the location is perfect (you can walk to any point in amsterdam)!
