Property Description
February 2010: All our 2-persons cabins and already a few 4-persons cabins are renovated/isolated so very WARM!
The campground is ideally situated on the verge off Amsterdam, only about 25 minutes from the fantastic city centre of Amsterdam. It’s a beautiful location for a city campground: in the middle of the vivid hart of Holland and yet in a quiet, peaceful forest where you can relax or enjoy yourself by having a nice walk, or doing some swimming, biking or canoeing.
Due to some recent traffic changes we now are easily reached by metro/sneltram 51 (subway) (see the added map). There is also a bus (199) stop right in front of the campsite which will bring you in 3 minutes to the metro (or 15 minutes walk) or in 15 minutes to our national airport (Schiphol)
EVERY NIGHT A NIGHT BUS! (N70 or N72)
GENERAL INFORMATION
On the campsite is a communal kitchen with cooking equipment and a large dining room which can be used freely. This kitchen/dining room is open day and night and a nice place to meet other people. There is no refrigerator.
In all our rental accommodations are only pillows and blankets supplied (SO NO SHEETS). You have to bring your own bed linen or sleeping bag or you can rent sheets at the reception. There are no towels but you can also rent them.
Pets are not allowed in our rental accommodations!
Please leave the accommodations empty and clean for the next guests.
You rent the accommodations from 15:00hrs in the afternoon until 11.00hrs the next morning.
If you rent single beds you will not get a key to close the door, if you book a private room you do get a key! (at arrival during reception hours)
The showers work with coins which you can buy (80 cents) at the reception.
We offer also all the washing facilities you need.
Free car park on the campsite!
April - August the reception is open until 20:00hrs.

Reviews & Ratings malihuba3304 stayed here on 11th August 2010 this was our second time that we staid here, like it a lot, very nice place, near Amsterdam, we will come again, the stuff is very helpful, accommodation is great, see you!!! | | stevenkyleparker859 stayed here on 05th August 2010 Brilliant for a relaxing time. Out of the way, in a location that has everything from beautiful scenery and a supermarket within a 10 min walk. | | Zebulon stayed here on 05th August 2010 The private cabins are alright (just a few beds and a desk) but be aware that this place is a ways outside the city. You'll probably spend at least 12-15 Euro on public transportation per day and if you take the bus its between 55minutess and 65minutess to get to the city center. If you take the bus to the airport and then take a train from the airport to central it will only take 35 minutes or so. Also you have to pay for EVERYTHING at the hostel, including toilet paper (they don't supply it). So overa | | miha3141 stayed here on 05th August 2010 Kitchen is fully equiped, we love it.
(But no frige)
Young staff was kind and friendly, but middle age staff was a little wicked and looked arrogant.
You need to pay extra charge for linens, showers, internet.
And they don`t keep baggage after checkout.
The sorrounding is nice. | | bobsadvent2014 stayed here on 03rd August 2010 We chose this place because of how cheap it was.
If you are planning on being in Amsterdam you would be better of getting a hostel more central instead of paying ~E6 for the bus per day.
Cook facilities were good though. | | arickxbr3327 stayed here on 29th July 2010 Takes roughly an hour to get to downtown amsterdam, and its a hastle. At the camp site they charge you for everything possible (towel, sheets, toilet paper). And the night bus is awful very few stops and extremely hard to find | | zoeannabel2004 stayed here on 23rd July 2010 It's cheap, but your money is sucked away elsewhere, such as... you must pay to shower, which is often cold, to use toilet paper, to wash your clothes and for the heater. It's highly secluded, so budget transit expenses.
staff are relatively hostile.
However, it is surrounded by greenery and has a canal running through, so if you plan on staying here for the duration of your trip, im sure it'll be fine. | | andrebraeuer5313 from Germany stayed here on 22nd July 2010 the wc and showers should be cleaned twice a day and not only once. | Male 25-30 | davers from England stayed here on 19th July 2010 Great for large groups and campers. Travel to the city centre is 2 buses away, takes about 35-45 minutes.
The cabins are pretty nice, though not the most secure. Shower/toilet facilities are surprisingly good (and clean), but buy plenty of tokens.
Bit expensive for what it is, especially what with the price not including even bed linen... | Male 25-30 | Aronggiyar from Netherlands stayed here on 13th July 2010 you can enjoy your stay here if you already know that you have to bring your own tissue toilet, you have to buy coin at the receptionis to take a shower, and that the bed doesn\'t have sheet. if you already know all of that from the beginning, it\'s really a nice place to enjoy your weekend in a camping cottage with a lot rabbit running around your cottage, i recommend you to come in summer, because in winter it will be very cold i think.. | Mixed Group 18-24 |
