Property Description

Arknoa-houseboat with central heating, hot running water and view on broad and active canal, offers one large private studio-room ' the Elephant room' with one XL bed for 2p. and a couch for 1p. (max.3 guests.)
A second very small room with a double bed can be booked directly at the houseboat for 2 extra guests booking the Elephant room.
For this you must first book the Elephant room and contact the houseboat for booking the Nest room also. Thus 4 + guests can share the 2 rooms which are adjacent one to the other.
The houseboat is located at 9 minutes from the Central Station (where you can find trams and tourist boats to visit further locations in town).

'The Elephant room' has 2 large windows, a king size bed and table, a narrow terrace on the canal side with a rowing boat parked in front of it for chilling out and sunning purposes only!
The room faces the afternoon sun and 8 beautiful grand trees. It is comfortable, attractive, spacey, family-, gay- and smoker friendly.
It is equipped with radio/Cd, Wifi and fridge.
With its own private entrance, it is situated at the far end of the houseboat with shared bathroom/shower just down the hall next to the inn keeper's living quarters.
Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in the room
(also a fridge)...

You can book the ELEPHANT room (Oct. Nov. to 19 Dec.08) as a :
PRIVATE TRIPLE FOR e40.- pppn OR as
PRIVATE DOUBLE FOR e50.-pppn.
Minimum stay 3 nights.
When 2 adults wish 2 separate beds, please inform the
innkeeper upfront.
Child under age 12 : e25.-

(Festive days Please contact the houseboat for booking this extra room. E70.- for 2 and e50.- for 1p.p.n.

Key deposit is e50.-. Deposit will be returned when room
and bathroom are left tidy and no damage has occurred; It will not be returned in such a case as a last minute booking cancellation.
Tea and coffee are available in the Elephant room; soaps and towels are provided.

Check-in is after 16oo. You can deposit bags if arriving early. Please then phone in to make sure inn keeper is home.
Check-out is 11am. (For e5.- you can park you bags at the houseboat for the afternoon; if needs be and if inn keeper available).

Houseboat Arknoa is close-by breakfast shops on the Haarlemmerstraat/Dijk. (Barney's Coffee Cie, p.ex. opens at 8a.m.) The supermarket is 5 minutes away (open daily, Sundays included from 8am to 10pm); the houseboat is also close to the Monday and Saturday street-markets of the Jordaan..

The 'Elephant room' offers its guests a safe, peaceful and refreshing place to relax in.

Dogs are not directly accepted as there are 2 cats living on board. Special requests can be made.

North-West of the houseboat there is a secured car park at e1.- p.h. (24hours for e15.-). It is a 20 min. walk back to the houseboat. Info will be sent on to you if required.
